Why Choose Me As Your Guitar Teacher?I have over a decade of experience as a full time guitar & ukulele tutor, a Bachelor of Music (majoring in jazz), a Diploma in Audio Engineering and Music Production and over 30 years experience as a musician. However, none of that means I should be your mentor.�
I aim to be the antidote to Instagram-esque tutors in this instant gratification world. We all know the youre making these 7 common mistakes as a guitarist or learn this hack for soloing all over the guitar fretboard grabs. These tutors are trying to beat algorithms to generate clickbait rather than offering a musically tangible education to help with your guitar playing (or ukulele playing!). Instead of spending my time making content for social media and treating students as my side project, I spend my time on my students and do my job as a real-life educator. Learning guitar is FUN and rewarding, but Im not going to lie to you for clicks...
There are no secret steps that you're missing and fast hacks!�Why would you want to miss out on the every essence of music?�The journey is the best part and that's where the gratification is. I often hear things like Why am I not good at improvising guitar solos? . The answer is most likely because you have never been taught all of the elements and devices that make guitar improv possible. The key message here is that I deliver you tangible information with printouts and take-home resources to support what you've learnt in lessons. We always follow on from our previous lessons rather than jumping from one thing to the next. |
